Yates saw Harriers lose for the second time in three days
Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates was disappointed with his players after Tuesday night's 3-1 home defeat by promotion rivals Cambridge United.
"I rarely come out and get stuck into the players or hammer them," Yates told BBC Hereford & Worcester.
"But I am finding it difficult to stick up for them. They wanted it more than us, they won every header and every tackle that mattered.
"It was massively disappointing. We are capable of beating teams like that."
Yates added: "In the first half I felt a bit sorry for them but the second goal was just poor defending.

"We were expecting a grandstand second half. But, from the kick-off, we gave the ball away and they scored.
"We have got to work even harder to show the qualities we have in the squad. Maybe I am being harsh but it was men against boys. We have to regroup and go again.
