Yates' side now have four games in hand on some of their promotion rivals
Kidderminster boss Mark Yates believes referee John Hopkins was right to abandon their game at Woking.
The league game was called off in the second half, with the scoreline goalless, because of wind and rain.
"It was just becoming farcical and for me it was the right decision as the ball was getting stuck," Yates told Hereford & Worcester said.
"They [Woking] will disagree and will say they wanted to play the game, but it didn't make for a good contest."
Yates was pleased with his side's first-half showing but he felt that the conditions definitely deteriorated with heavy rain and strong winds.
It's not ideal, but there are teams in a lot worse position than ourselves
Boss Mark Yates on Kidderminster's fixture congestion
"Before the game when we were warming up there was torrential rain and it was blowing a gale right across the pitch," he said.
"It wasn't pleasant conditions, but the surface was good and it was quite firm out there as the ball was zipping about.
"But in the last 20 minutes it wasn't zipping about any more and was holding up so the referee has to be careful about injuries," he added.
The game will now have to be rearranged for later in the season and Yates is concerned about a possible build-up of fixtures.
While some fans will be worried about the possible impact on Harriers' play-off ambitions, Yates says they should not concern themselves about factors over which they have no control.
"We've still got a couple of weeks where we can fit a couple of games in and we have just to get on with it," he said.
"It's not ideal, but there are teams in a lot worse position than ourselves."
