Harriers turn attention to Trophy

Mark Yates
Kidderminster Harriers boss Mark Yates is looking for a Wembley return.

Kidderminster Harriers have a chance to bounce back from their FA Cup exit by setting out for Wembley again in the FA Trophy this weekend.

After Saturday's 2-0 defeat by Coventry City, Harriers will find it quite a contrast from the Ricoh Arena at Ilkeston Town.

But Harriers manager Mark Yates insists that this is just as big a game.

"We know we're not going to win the FA Cup," he said. "But we know what waits for us if we do well in the trophy."

Yates told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "We have to be professional about it, and I'll be talking to people about Ilkeston."

Yates took the Harriers to the final of the Trophy in 2007, the first major game at the new Wembley. And the Kiddy boss says it is one of his dreams to take them back there.

"We will be back in on Tuesday," he said. "And we'll make sure we try to get better and better at everything we are trying to do.

"We only have a couple of players left who went to Wembley with us. But that's still a long way off."

Harriers' second round Trophy clash with Ilkeston is at the New Manor Ground on Saturday (10 January, 1500 GMT).
