Marcus Law's arrival as Kettering Town boss has helped kick-start the club's season says player-coach Paul Furlong.
Tuesday's 1-0 victory at York means Law has won both of his games in charge since taking over at Rockingham Road.
Furlong, 42, told BBC Radio Northampton: "The manager has spoken about [the win against York] as being the start of our season.
"We have good players in the team, and it was perhaps only a case of needing a bit of organisation."
He added: "I'd like to think we've turned the corner. It's a fresh slate."
The Poppies' revival has been spearheaded by wingers Serge Makofo and James Dance.
The pair scored in Saturday's 2-1 win over Hayes & Yeading, and made eye-catching performances in the midweek defeat of the Minstermen.
"James brings enthusiasm and he's special to us - a fantastic player," said Furlong.

"[Spurs midfielder] Gareth Bale is the same sort of player as Serge. He pushes the ball on and works the full-back.
"Serge has got a run in the team and that brings confidence."
Furlong found himself in the starting line-up against York, replacing the injured Iyseden Christie.
But the former Chelsea striker admits his role as a coach takes priority to playing.
"I've been concentrating more on coaching, so my fitness is diminishing, but if I had a run of games, I could play," he said.
"Ideally, I'd like to work more on the coaching side than playing, but I'm enjoying both and long may that continue."
