Brett Solkhon unfazed by Kettering Town's winless spell
Solkhon made 289 appearances for the Poppies in his first spell at the club
Kettering Town midfielder Brett Solkhon is backing his team to turn their results around when the season starts.
The Poppies have drawn two and lost four friendly matches, with a trip to Hinckley to come before the Blue Square Bet Premier opener against Gateshead.
Solkhon told BBC Radio Northampton: "We don't take notice of those results.
"When we won the Conference North, we lost all our pre-season games and then started really well. This is just getting the defeats out of the way."
Kettering were the Conference North champions in 2007/08, and went on a run of seven consecutive wins at the start of that campaign.
Solkhon left the Poppies for Corby Town in 2009, and moved to Brackley Town before making the move back to Rockingham Road.
"We've got great experience in this team, and there's nothing to scare us in the Conference this year," he added.
