Graham joined from Blue Square Premier play-off finalists York
Kettering Town defender Luke Graham has backed boss Lee Harper and his decision to sign former Poppies players.
Graham, 24, joins Tommy Jaszczun, Moses Ashikodi and Iyseden Christie in returning to Rockingham Road after spells at other clubs.
"People might say we're just going back to former players and doubt Lee Harper's contact list," Graham told BBC Radio Northampton.
"But it's no bad thing. We're players who've left and been successful."
He continued: "There's no harm in signing players you can trust.
"We're going to have a good defence. In fact, I can't see anyone in the division having a better one."
Graham was offered a two-year deal to stay at York, but opted to return to his hometown club.
"I see it as a sideways step for me, not backwards," he said. "I wouldn't have come if I didn't think we could be up there and challenging to get into the Football League."
