Kettering boss Lee Harper unsure of his future at club

Kettering Town manager Lee Harper has admitted he is uncertain about his future at the club.

Harper took over from Mark Cooper last November but his contract at Rockingham Road runs out at the end of the season.

"I don't know if I can bring my own players in and I don't know what the budget is, although I've asked and asked," he told BBC Radio Northampton.

"All I really want to do is get on with the job here and do the best I can," Harper added.

"If that's not good enough for whoever makes the decisions, then it's not good enough.

"You've got a group of players here with mortgages and bills to pay. And they don't know if their final pay day will be on 5 May and then that will be it.

"We have just two players contracted to the club for next season," he added.

Kettering - currently sixth in the Blue Square Premier table - visit Grays Athletic on Saturday.
