Bruce was out for a month with a groin strain earlier in the season

Ipswich defender Alex Bruce is a doubt for Sunday's game at Cardiff City.

The Republic of Ireland international was forced off during the second half of Saturday's draw against Sheffield Wednesday with a groin injury.

Ipswich boss Roy Keane fears Bruce could be sidelined for a few weeks if the injury is the same as one picked up against Newcastle in September.

He told the club website: "We will have more of an idea later this week but it looks a similar one to last time."
