Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Fulham defender Moritz Volz on a season long-loan deal.
The 25-year-old right-back will be in the squad for Saturday's game against Watford after completing a medical.
Volz made 144 appearances for the Cottagers in all competitions but has not featured for them this season.
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson told BBC London 94.9: "I think that's a good move for Moritz, he hasn't had too many chances here."
He added: "When he has the opportunity to play more regularly at a top club like Ipswich, it would have been wrong for us to block that."
Ipswich had a previous permanent bid accepted for the former Germany Under-21 international but it is believed he was not keen to drop down to the Championship on a permanent basis.
Town boss Jim Magilton told the club website: "We're delighted. He's a top professional who has spent his career in England playing at Premier League level.
"He believes he is a Premier League player. I believe that as well so we have got a very good player on our hands."
