Norris makes the trip east

Ipswich have signed midfielder David Norris from fellow Championship side Plymouth for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old, whose new deal runs until 2011, made 235 appearances for the Pilgrims and scored 27 goals.

"I have watched David's career closely over the last few years and I'm delighted to have him now," Town boss Jim Magilton told the club website.

"It has been documented that we've been trying to get him and I can understand Plymouth's reluctance to let him go."
