Huddersfield Town's progress pleases Sean Jarvis

Clark's Town have won six league games

Huddersfield Town director Sean Jarvis believes manager Lee Clark and his playing squad have made good progress so far this season.

Clark is in his second full term in charge at the Galpharm Stadium and has guided Town to fifth in League One.

Jarvis told BBC Radio Leeds: "Lee has made some good progress and brought in some good experienced players.

"I think Lee Clark can do it for us this season and we'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season."

The Terriers host Walsall on Saturday as they look to bounce back from their surprise defeat at struggling Plymouth.

Jarvis added: "We are still gelling somewhat and Lee is still finding his best team. Lee has a very strong plan A and is still working on his plan B, but things are looking good.

"The players are more than capable to get us up and so are Lee and his backroom team.

"The expectation on Town this year is sky high and we all want to get promoted, so defeats really hurt.

"But we have already shown this season we can bounce straight back after a loss. We are still fifth just three points off second and have shown already what a good side we are.

"There's more twists and turns to come this season for every club and I'm sure we'll be up there."
