Fallon has led Histon up through the leagues during his tenure
Steve Fallon has resumed his duties as Histon manager after settling his differences with chairman Tony Roach.
Fallon was suspended at the start of December after a disagreement over a restructuring of the club's wage bill.
Initial talks could not find a resolution, but Fallon has now agreed to return as manager.
"I sat down and thought 'I still want to be manager of this football club, so go and sort it out'," Fallon told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
Fallon was suspended on 7 December with Roach alleging he was asked to look at reducing four players' wages but "chose to tell the whole team that they were going to be released".
Four players - Neil Andrews, Jamie Barker, John Kennedy and Craig Pope - were subsequently released with assistant boss Alan Lewer taking temporary charge.
After initial discussions, which were described as positive, Fallon and Roach were due to meet again on Thursday, but the meeting was brought forward to Sunday.
"We disagreed on a number of things which have taken far too long to sort out, so we sat down and both said what our concerns and grievances were," Fallon said.
"Now we've got to move on from what's happened over the past five weeks and make sure Histon continue to improve and survive."
Fallon will now be in charge of the team for Tuesday's trip to Maidstone in the rearranged FA Trophy first round tie, should the freezing weather abate.
Despite being away from the club for more than month, Fallon only missed one match owing to postponements, a 1-0 victory against Kettering on 28 December.
"At the end of the day we both want the same things. I want to be manager of Histon Football Club and Tony wants me to be manager of Histon Football Club," Fallon added.
