Histon have made striker Michael Frew their first summer capture.
The 24-year-old has signed a one-year deal at the Glass World stadium following a spell with Cambridge City in the Southern Premier.
Frew told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I spoke to one or two other clubs but Histon was the main offer.
"One of my strengths is using my pace to get in behind the back four and force defenders to turn towards their own goal, how they don't want to be."
Frew joined Cambridge City on non-contract terms in March, scoring six goals in 15 appearances.
The Peterborough youth product previously spent time with King's Lynn in the Blue Square North.

"I always believed I could play at Conference level but spent a lot of time playing out of position at King's Lynn," Frew said.
With Jack Midson having left for Oxford, Histon needed reinforcements up front.
And Frew is confident his new side will be challenging for promotion again next season.
"Histon want to go better than they did over the last season when they did well in the league and had a great cup run," he said.
"If we can emulate that we could be in League Two a year from now which would be very exciting."
