Histon manager Steve Fallon says he will be disappointed if they are not challenging for the title and automatic promotion at the end of the season.
The Stutes have only the Blue Square Premier to concentrate on after their FA Cup exit to Swansea on Tuesday.
Fallon told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "It will be a disappointment if we don't win the league.
"It would be a fantastic achievement to make the play-offs and it would unbelievable to win the league."
Histon are 13 points behind leaders Burton but with three matches in hand.
Fallon believes his side need to use their FA Cup experiences as inspiration over the coming weeks.
"The players have all got a little bit of a swagger about them and we need to make sure we keep that when we got back to the league," he said.
"We've had the FA Cup to drive us on, now we've got the big prize of promotion or play-offs or winning this league."
Meanwhile, Histon have terminated the contract of defender Erkan Okay after he was convicted of assaulting a police officer.
Okay had been with the Stutes since 2004, making 199 appearances, but Fallon says it suited both parties to go their separate ways.
In further Histon news, director Allen Soraff has been appointed as the club's chief executive.
Soraff will assist chairman Gareth Baldwin in the day to day running of the club.
