Gareth Evans is leaving Glebe Park for Easter Road

Kozelsky, who plays for Austrian second division outfit DSV Leoben, expects signing talks after impressing in a recent trial with Hibs.

"If the talks go well, I won't need to think too long," said the 25-year-old.

"Joining Hibs is a step any player would take. I could hardly believe the welcome I got when I went over there."

Meanwhile, former Hibs striker Evans, presently assistant manager of Brechin City, will replace Mark Proctor, who became Livingston manager last month.

The 40-year-old Evans, who was previously assistant with Alloa Athletic, said: "It's great to be starting out a new season and it is good to be back at Easter Road.

"A lot has changed since I played for the club, but I am looking forward to helping to take things forward."

Evans played for the Edinburgh club between 1988 and 1996 and also had spells with Coventry City, Rotherham United, Partick Thistle and Airdrie.

Manager John Collins told Hibs' website: "Obviously, I know Gareth well from our playing days at Hibernian together.

"But he has also amassed some useful coaching experience and he will bring a lot to the club."
