Bill Hendry has already been with Hibs for nine years |
Hibernian have appointed Bill Hendry as the new manager of their youth academy. He takes over from John Park, who left to become Celtic's football development manager earlier this year.
Hendry, who has been involved in the Hibs youth set-up for nine years after leaving Motherwell, will leave his post as an assistant head teacher.
Hibs chairman Rod Petrie told the club website: "Bill is a first-rate organiser, he has boundless enthusiasm and he has a wealth of experience."
Park left for Celtic Park in January after helping the development of current Scotland internationals such as Derek Riordan, Garry O`Connor, Scott Brown and Ian Murray.
Hendry added: "The role is one of management, organisation and co-ordination.
"It's not a coaching role. We have top notch coaches who work within the structure already."
