Bulls top scorer Steve Guinan is just eight shy of hitting 100 career goals
Hereford United striker Steve Guinan says the Bulls are concerned about pitch conditions for Saturday's League One game at Stockport County.
England Saxons are due to play Portugal in a rugby international at Edgeley Park the night before.
And Guinan admits a potentially cut-up pitch may not suit the Bulls' style.
"It would not help our game too much as we like to play a passing game. But it'll be the same for both sides," he told BBC Hereford & Worcester.
"And we will have to get on with it."
But Guinan, the Bulls' top scorer this season with 10 of their 23 league goals, points out that Hereford have a good record at Edgeley Park.
On home soil, the Bulls have not beaten Stockport in almost 20 years, most recently a 1-0 home defeat at Edgar Street back in October
But it is a different story at Edgeley Park, where Graham Turner's men have won on both their last two visits.
Stuart Fleetwood and Tamika Mkandawire hit the goals in a 2-0 win there in August 2006. And Lionel Ainsworth's hat-trick helped secure last season's 3-2 victory.
"We have played Stockport a lot in the last few seasons," said Guinan, a late substitute in last term's victory. "And we have won twice at Edgeley Park."
And Guinan admits that a third straight win there would be a timely way to try and put right an away record that has seen the Bulls pick up just five points out of a possible 33 on their travels this season.
That is the joint worst in the division - and it is no coincidence that the three teams with the same record, Hereford, Cheltenham and Crewe are the current bottom three.
"It's coming to the time when we have to start getting results away from home," admitted Guinan.
"We have not had much luck of late.
"But we just have to work harder on the training ground and earn our luck."
