Calum Martin latest youngster to sign Hartlepool deal
Hartlepool winger Callum Martin has become the latest player from the club's youth team to sign professional terms at Victoria Park.
The 18-year-old has been with the club since under-14 level and has been a regular in the Pools' reserve team.
He is the fourth and final scholar to sign a contract for next season.
Martin joins defenders Billy Blackford and Paul Johnson, as well as winger Dylan Purvis in Chris Turner's side for next season's League One campaign.
Hartlepool-born Blackford, 18, joined the club in 2002 but his progress this season was halted by a five-month absence because of an ankle injury.
Meanwhile, Johnson, 18, joined the club's centre of excellence in 2004 and has since been a regular in both the youth and reserve teams.
He is yet to make his senior bow at Pools and spent last season on loan at non-league Garforth.
Purvis, 18, who started his career with Sunderland, was a regular in the reserve team last season and was included in the first-team squad for Pools' League One clash with Southend in December, but did not make his debut.
The club have not revealed the length or terms of any of the deals.
