Hartlepool United striker Denis Behan could be out for the rest of the season after picking up a suspected ankle ligament injury.
The former Cork City man was brought off on a stretcher during Tuesday's reserves defeat against Rotherham.
Assistant boss Colin West told the club website: "He's gutted about what happened. He was fighting for a place in the first team."
Behan, 26, suffered a similar injury in November last year.
