Justin Edinburgh has left his post as manager of Blue Square Premier club Grays Athletic by mutual consent, reports BBC Essex. Former Spurs defender Edinburgh had been in charge since January 2007, but chairman Micky Woodward will take over as manager until the end of the season.
However, Woodward hopes to have two new coaches alongside him before this weekend's trip to Stevenage.
Woodward stepped in as manager for a month during the 2006/07 season.
Grays are currently 14th in the Blue Square Premier table.
