Kuffour scored his first two goals for Gillingham in the 5-2 win at Torquay.
Striker Jo Kuffour wants to earn a permanent contract with Gillingham when his loan from Bristol Rovers is over.
"I liked the club after a couple of weeks. They're a good bunch of lads, it's a good stadium and a great manager," Kuffour told BBC Radio Kent.
The 29 year-old joined the Gills on a three-month loan which ends just before the January transfer window opens.
"All I can think of now is playing well for Gillingham and the fans and hopefully things will follow," he said.
"I feel like I'm hitting my stride now. I was made to train with the youth team at Bristol Rovers and missed about five weeks, it's almost like I'm in pre-season now."
Rovers manager Paul Buckle tried to engineer a permanent transfer for Kuffour, after the striker expressed his desire to leave Bristol to be closer to London, but could not find a club before the August window closed.
"Gillingham have really good strikers; Frank Nouble has got good feet for a big lad and with Danny Kedwell scoring goals too we'll be giving the manager some selection problems," Kuffour added.
