Gillingham have signed Bristol Rovers striker Jo Kuffour on a three-month loan deal.

The 29-year-old has scored 35 goals in 139 appearances for the Pirates but has not played a game since 27 August.

Rovers manager Paul Buckle revealed last month that the forward wanted to leave the Memorial Stadium, external to move closer to London.

A permanent move could not be agreed before the transfer window closed but Buckle made him available for loan.

Kuffour will be available for Saturday's game with AFC Wimbledon.
