Gillingham's Danny Kedwell hopes for AFC Wimbledon warm reception
Kedwell moved from AFC Wimbledon to Gillingham in July 2011
Gillingham striker Danny Kedwell says he is unsure what kind of a reception the AFC Wimbledon fans will give him.
The trip to Kingsmead on Saturday is the first time Kedwell will line up against the side he played for between 2008 and 2011.
"I don't know what to expect," he told BBC Radio Kent.
"In the last three years, I put in 110 per cent for them. I scored the winning penalty to get them into the football league so I hope I've done enough."
The 28-year-old scored 58 goals in 119 appearances for the Dons, and hit the winning spot-kick in the Blue Square Bet South Play-Off Final penalty shootout against Luton Town in May.
The match will pit Kedwell against many of his former team-mates, including Jamie Stuart, who is likely to be marking the forward on Saturday.
"I speak to him every day but in the last couple of days I haven't," said Kedwell. "I'm waiting for a phonecall.
"It all depends on the day, who is up for it more. I'm really up for it. He's got to be on his best game to sort me out, to get me out of the game."
He added: "It'll be nice to see the lads but hopefully they'll be the ones crying after."
