Gillingham striker Danny Kedwell believes their team spirit will help get them promoted this season.

The Gills are currently third in League Two - and have made their best start to a season in 16 years - with three wins and one draw from four league games.

Kedwell told BBC Radio Kent they are more than capable of staying there.

He said: "We feel absolutely brilliant, there is a great atmosphere and if we carry that all the way through I can't see us finishing below the top three."

Kedwell, who scored his first two goals for the club in their 3-0 win over Plymouth, added: "We've just got to keep it going.

"We need to work hard on the training pitch, because the atmosphere is brilliant."
