Gillingham's Charlie Lee said the team will "bounce back" from their 3-0 defeat by league leaders Rotherham on Saturday that dropped them to fourth.
The midfielder told BBC Radio Kent: "Any loss gets you a bit down, but we'll bounce back against Shrewsbury.
"We know if we keep doing the right things, we'll get the results. We'll bounce back.
"It's not a bad start but we want to be in the top three all year round and we want to get promoted," he added.
The Gills had picked up three wins and a draw from their first four League Two fixtures before Saturday's defeat by the Millers.
