Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler has signed defender Tony Sinclair on a one-year deal.
The 25-year-old was an apprentice with the Gills but dropped down to non-league where he played for Beckenham, Fisher Athletic, Welling and Woking.
Sinclair's versatility means he can play at right-back or centre-half.
Hessenthaler told the club's website: "He's decent in the air, is very athletic and offers something we haven't really got at the back."
Gillingham also have the option of extending Sinclair's contract by a further year.
