Gillingham's newly appointed assistant manager Mark Robson has left Priestfield just three weeks after he was given the role.
Robson had served as a coach under Mark Stimson before being named as the number two to Andy Hessenthaler.
A club statement said that Robson would be unable to take up his position for personal reasons for the time being.
The statement added that the door will be left open for Robson to return if and when he feels ready.
Hessenthaler will now have to start the task of finding a new assistant.
