Carlisle United defender Josh Gowling has joined Gillingham on a five-week loan deal.
The 25-year-old signed for the Cumbrians last summer after three years with Bournemouth.
Carlisle manager Greg Abbott told the club website: "An opportunity has come up for him to get some regular football and put himself in the shop window.
"We are well covered in that area, so this will give him a chance to see what he can do with Gillingham."
Gowling made only four appearances for Carlisle last season and spent time on loan at Hereford United.
