Gillingham defender Sean Clohessy says he is unlikely to play for the Medway side again because of his strained relationship with manager Mark Stimson.
The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Salisbury until the end of the season.
Clohessy has played nearly 50 games for the Gills, but has been with the Blue Square Premier side since September.
"I'm 99% sure I'm not going to return there. Me and the gaffer don't really get on there so I can't really see that materialising," said Clohessy.
"I've just got to see what happens.
"I just want to play at the highest level possible.
"I'm not a fool, I don't just want to say I want to sign for Salisbury in the Blue Square Premier, I want to play at the highest level.
"Salisbury have given me a chance to play and I'm grateful for that, and I'd be happy to sign it if it comes to that."
Clohessy came up through the Gills youth ranks and made his debut in November 2005.
