Jackson has scored 14 goals for Gillingham this season
Gillingham say they have no intention of selling leading scorer Simeon Jackson during the transfer window.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Aston Villa after a scout from the Premier League club attended the recent home game against Exeter City.
Earlier this month manager Mark Stimson told BBC Radio Kent it would take at least 1m to buy his 14 goal striker.
But this week he said: "We don't want to sell anyone for any price. We want to try and take the club forward."
He added: "At the moment it's just paper talk. There's been no contact between the clubs but I know they had a representative here on Saturday. I've had a chat with the chairman and we are not looking to sell anybody."
Meanwhile Gillingham striker Mark McCammon and winger Albert Jarrett played 70 minutes in for the reserves in the 2-2 draw with Aldershot. It was McCammon's first game since November and Jarrett's first since December because of injury.
Captain Barry Fuller has returned to light training after being taken ill with a form of pneumonia. A club spokesman said Fuller is still some weeks away from competitive football.
And Gillingham have denied an FA charge of failing to control their players. It relates to an incident in the home game with Brentford in December.
Brentford, who have admitted an identical charge, had Nathan Elder sent off, and Gillingham's Gary Richards was later banned for three matches for his part in the incident.
