Gillingham boss Mark Stimson has told supporters to trust him despite a run of five games without a victory. The Gills were booed off after their goalless draw at home to Cheltenham.
"There's a very bright horizon, but we need a win or two just to relax a few people. The last two years at the club haven't been the best," Stimson said.
"Some people will think, 'I've heard it before, I've seen the rubbish', but I've got total belief in what I'm doing," he added.
"I've been in a challenge like this twice in my managerial career - at Stevenage and Grays - in very similar situations.
"I'm quietly confident, but rest assured me and [assistant] Scott Barrett, will give everything we've got. It's the only way we know how."
