Gillingham manager Mark Stimson said he understood fans booing his side after the goalless draw at home to Cheltenham on Saturday. The Gills are now without a win in five matches in League One.
"Supporters have got the right to do what they want, they're probably frustrated just like us," said Stimson.
Despite the debut of their newest signing, striker Simeon Jackson, Gillingham failed to score for the third game in a row on their home turf.
The Gillingham manager added: "Booing is some supporters' opinion, and we take that on board. We'll just get on with our work and do it the best we can.
"We knew it wasn't going to be the prettiest game; it was a tough one against a team, who, like ourselves, are down at the wrong end of the table."
