Gillingham have signed prolific Rushden & Diamonds striker Simeon Jackson, 20, for �150,000. Boss Mark Stimson had said earlier in the week that the Gills would not increase their previous offer for him.
Jackson, who has scored 18 goals for Rushden this season, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal.
Meanwhile, the Gills have released midfielder Steve Lomas, 34, defender Craig Armstrong, 32, and striker David Graham, 29, from their contracts.
The trio had been transfer-listed earlier this month.
