Bentley wants Gills to name boss
Mark Bentley
Bentley feels a new appointment would lift the Kent club
Midfielder Mark Bentley wants managerless Gillingham to name their new manager as soon as possible.

The League One club have now played eight games since Ronnie Jepson's resignation in early September.

"If it's (caretaker boss) Iffy Onuora, great, but if not, we want that new man in," Bentley told BBC Radio Kent.

"We've had some disappointing results - we wanted to be in the top half of the league and we're not, so it would be a big lift if somebody new came in."

Former Stevenage manager Mark Stimson, who resigned as Borough boss last week, has been strongly linked with the job.
