Gateshead suffer defender James Curtis injury setback
Curtis joined Gateshead from Washington in 2003
Gateshead defender James Curtis faces a lengthy lay-off after breaking his foot in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Tamworth.
Curtis could be out until January after he fractured his fifth metatarsal in a repeat of an injury that saw him miss the opening five games of the campaign.
The 28-year-old has made 15 appearances this season, forging a partnership with Ben Clark at the centre of defence.
He remains Gateshead's longest-serving player having signed from Northern League side Washington in 2003.
