Gateshead have signed striker Nathan Fisher from Chester-le-Street Town on a one-year contract.
The 20-year-old forward has signed for an undisclosed four-figure fee.
Fisher enjoyed a prolific campaign at Chester-le-Street, scoring 44 goals in 49 league and cup games in the Northern league last season.
The striker was a product of Middlesbrough's academy and went on to join Gretna before a brief spell with Durham City.
He was voted Northern League player of the year and young player of the year last season.
Fisher told the club's website: "My aim has always been to get back into the professional game and as soon as I knew Gateshead were interested I jumped at the chance to sign for them.
"Chester-le-Street Town have made a little bit of money on the deal and I will always be grateful to them for getting my career back on track."
