Gateshead have added wingers Josh Gillies and James Marwood to their squad for the new season.

Gillies, 20, joins from Whitley Bay where he was part of their FA Vase winning team - scoring in the final.

Marwood, 20, son of former Arsenal star Brian, was a Newcastle youth player and played for Blyth Spartans last season before joining Team Northumbria.

Boss Ian Bogie said: "They are wide players who possess genuine pace and are keen to give it a go at Gateshead."

He added: "It is always good to have ambitious and talented youngsters in the squad.

"They will benefit from full-time training and any player who does well for the reserves will stake a claim for a first team place."
