Paul Tosh has been at Forfar since 2001 |
Paul Tosh has joined Arbroath on loan from Forfar Athletic as the Second Division relegation candidates near the appointment of a new manager. Striker Tosh had been assistant to George Shaw, who was sacked by Forfar last week, and was caretaker for Saturday's 4-0 defeat by Morton.
But Forfar's website stated that they were nearing a decision on a successor, with two names now on their shortlist.
Tosh will remain with Third Division Arbroath until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old, who has been with Forfar since 2001, is a direct replacement for Joe Savage, the striker who departed Arbroath after a recent match against Elgin City that featured a brawl involving a number of players.
It will be Tosh's third spell at promotion-seeking Arbroath during his career.
He is expected to make his debut in Tuesday's league match at home to East Stirlingshire.
