Forfar Athletic's week of turmoil has increased after their club website claimed that two players had walked out on the Second Division strugglers. "Striker Darren Gribben and defender David Keogh are both AWOL from the club at present in what is a most unsatisfactory state of affairs," it states.
The news follows Monday's sacking of manager George Shaw.
Gribben joined from Cowdenbeath while Keogh arrived from Motherwell.
Forfar lie 11 points behind second-bottom Stranraer and say they want a new manager to assess the squad during the seven remaining games.
