Shaw leaves the Loons after only four league wins this season |
Forfar Athletic have parted company with manager George Shaw after 10 months in charge at Station Park. He was dismissed yesterday following Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Cowdenbeath which left the Loons 11 points adrift at the bottom of Division Two.
Forfar chairman David McGregor said: "With just seven games to go we need the situation sorted out so that a new manager can have a look at the squad."
Assistant manager Paul Tosh will now take over for the game against Morton.
Forfar recorded only four league wins under Shaw and failed to win away from home.
At the moment it is understood that the Station Park outfit do not have a candidate in mind to replace Shaw, as they prepare for Sunday's visit of the league leaders.
