Major investor Dale Vince has been voted on to the board of directors at a meeting of Forest Green shareholders.
Vince, who is behind green energy company Ecotricity, announced he was investing in the club last month.
He has not disclosed how much money he is putting in to the club, but it has put the club back on a firm footing after its problems emerged in March.
Paul Wheatcroft, group finance director of Ecotricity, has also been elected on to the board.
