Fleetwood Town have continued to strengthen their squad for the Blue Square Bet Premier by signing goalkeeper Scott Davies.

The 23-year-old has moved to his hometown club following his release by Lancashire rivals Morecambe.

Davies said: "I'm pleased to join the club and start this new challenge. Coming back to Fleetwood has given me a real buzz. I can't wait to start."

Davies played in the 2007 Conference play-off final win over Exeter.

He made his Morecambe debut in 2005 and went on to make 21 appearances for the Shrimps.

He was allowed to leave the club at the end of the season after first choice keeper Barry Roche agreed a new contract.
