Arfield says he is not interested in a move to Hamilton
Falkirk have rejected a £100,000 offer from Scottish Premier League rivals Hamilton Academical for midfielder Scott Arfield.
Arfield, 20, who has four years on his contract to run, said he was not interested in a move to Hamilton.
"I'm a Falkirk player and delighted to be here in the immediate future," he told the club website.
Bairns chairman Martin Ritchie added: "I thought they had missed out a zero in the figure they offered."
Arfield won the Clydesdale Bank Premier League young player of the month for September last year and helped Falkirk remain in Scotland's top-flight.
The Scotland U-21 international harbours ambitions to play at a higher level, but said he was not keen on a move to New Douglas Park.
"I don't really have too much to say about the offer at all, it's not something that would interest me," Arfield said.
"One day I want to continue my career at a higher level and I will achieve that by continuing to work hard at this club which I have been proud to represent since youth level."
