Exeter City have announced that full back Scott Golbourne has signed a new deal at St James Park.

The 22-year-old made 34 appearances for the Grecians last term, helping Paul Tisdale's men avoid relegation in their first season back in League One.

Golbourne told the club's official website: "The deal is done now and I'm happy to still be here.

"This season is going to be a really good one. We learnt a lot last year and can be a force this year."

The defender added: "We have got some good players on board and I am really looking forward to getting started."

Golbourne started his career as a trainee at Bristol City, before moving to Reading from where he went on loan to Wycombe, Bournemouth and Oldham prior to signing for Tisdale's side.
