Exeter City's Paul Tisdale happy with club's year

Tisdale has been manager of Exeter since June 2007

Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale said the success his team experienced in 2009 will be never be forgotten by those associated with the club.

Tisdale led the Grecians to League Two promotion last season and they have since held their own in League One.

The 36-year-old told BBC Radio Devon: "It's been a very good year in the history of Exeter City.

"I think our supporters would be very positive about what they've seen and what the future holds."

The Grecians promotion in May came only 12 months after Tisdale had taken the side up from the Blue Square Premier.

"2009 has been another promotion year," he said.

"It's seen our team play at some terrific places and I think that the future's very bright and I'm very proud and privileged to have been part of it."

Exeter are currently 19th in League One where, despite having held their own against some of the division's top sides, they have not always had the lucky breaks.

"This season we're playing some very good football, we've settled into League One well and we've certainly looked the part.

"A few more points would have been appreciated but as a whole I'm very pleased and not frustrated at all."
