Noone improves under Exeter boss

On loan winger Craig Noone feels Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has already made a marked improvement to his game.

The 21-year-old penned a three-month loan deal with Exeter in September from local rivals Plymouth Argyle.

Noone told BBC Spotlight that his first month at St James Park has been a positive experience.

"Tisdale's made my game come on massively. He's taught me what to do and when to do it in the right areas," he said.

"He's improved me a lot. His style of management, coaching and his encouragement is making a big difference."

The diminutive winger strode straight into the action following his loan to Exeter, immediately endearing himself to the Grecians faithful with a superb long-range goal on debut, earning City a point at Leyton Orient.

Noone signed for parent club Plymouth from non-league Southport in August 2008 and has made 23 appearances since then.

However, the winger was predominantly used as a substitute by the Pilgrims, in contrast to his new starting role under Tisdale.

"There's nothing better than playing games every week for the full ninety minutes," Noone added.

"The manager at Plymouth [Paul Sturrock] sees me as an impact player, coming off the bench and trying to change games when they're wide open."
