Tisdale pleased with Shrews draw

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale felt Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury was a fair result.

He told BBC Radio Devon: "It was a terrific point for us, by the way Shrewsbury started the game you could see they meant business.

"I think we showed a lot of good signs, and I'm beginning to like what I see in terms of us as a team."

After going behind to a penalty, Exeter pulled level through Marcus Stewart with seven minutes left on the clock.

Tisdale added: "It was a terrific game of football; I thought it was end to end, especially towards the end of the second half."

Both sides had penalties awarded and, despite Matt Gill missing Exeter's, there were no complaints from Tisdale.

"I have to say I thought Matt's was a pretty decent effort. He certainly didn't miscue it or strike it tentatively. Some go in, and some don't," he said.

The result ensures that Exeter stay in the play-off places and above Shrewsbury in the race for promotion from League Two.
