Exeter City have appointed ex-England defender Russell Osman as assistant manager for an interim period. Osman, 48, will work alongside former Southampton team-mate Paul Tisdale until the turn of the year following Joe Gallen's departure to Millwall.
"I trust Russell, which is important, and it buys me time until January," Tisdale told the Express & Echo.
"I want to see how the side responds now over the next month before I decide what type of assistant I need."
Osman has previously had spells as player-manager of Bristol City and manager at Cardiff City, and more recently was joint caretaker boss at Bristol Rovers in early 2004.
Gallen recently left the Grecians to take up a role with Millwall's youth academy.
