| Wednesday, 29 January, 2003, 17:07 GMT McNab keen on Partridge Exeter City boss Neil McNab is hoping to persuade striker Scott Partridge to extend his loan stay at St James Park. The former Torquay, Bristol City, Cardiff and Brentford hitman has been a big success since arriving from Rushden & Diamonds in late December. But concerns over his wife's health have put Partridge's long-term future with the Grecians in doubt. "I'm keen to keep him on, full stop," said McNab. "He's in great shape and I think he wants to stay with us. "We will be having a talk about his future but, of course, it is up to him," the City boss told the Exeter Express & Echo. Partridge was transfer-listed by Rushden in early December after 15 months at Nene Park as the club moved to try and trim their wage bill. The 28-year-old netted five times last season to help Brian Talbot's side reach the play-off final. But he struggled to win a first-team place under Talbot this season because of the form of Onandi Lowe, Duane Darby and Robert Duffy. |
