Baines converted Everton's first penalty of the season on Saturday
Everton defender Leighton Baines says a strong team spirit will help his side through their current injury crisis.
Mikel Arteta, Louis Saha, Marouane Fellaini, Jack Rodwell, Jose Baxter and Victor Anichebe have been sidelined.
England international Baines told BBC Radio Merseyside: "We've got to pull together and help each other.
"It's not a situation that's unfamiliar to us, we've been here before, and we've always had a small squad. We've suffered quite badly with injuries."
He added: "We're trying to do the best we can."
Baines scored the equaliser from the penalty spot in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, a result which moves Everton up to seventh in the table.
The full-back says there are still some important games left to play, starting away at Wolves at the weekend.
"We play a lot of teams who could do with the three points at the moment," he added. "It's the business end of the season and everyone needs the points but we need them as well so we're looking to get a run together.
"We're in pretty decent form over the last couple of months so we want to get as many points on the board and see where it takes us."
